1. Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple
Located on Mandhata hill, this multi-storied temple is a masterpiece of ancient architecture. The sanctum holds the naturally formed lingam, which is surrounded by water. The temple walls feature detailed stone carvings that depict Hindu deities and mythological stories.
2. Shri Mamleshwar Temple (Amareshwar)
Located on the opposite bank of the river, this ancient temple complex dates back to the Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar era. Constructed with red sandstone, it is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and holds a serene, peaceful energy.
3. Narmada River Ghats (Gomukh & Sangam Ghat)
The bathing ghats are the spiritual heart of the town. Devotees gather at Gomukh Ghat or Sangam Ghat (confluence of Narmada and Kaveri rivers) to take a holy dip before visiting the temple. The evening Narmada Maha Aarti at the ghats is a beautiful spectacle of lamps and chants.

4. Mandhata Parikrama Path
A 7 km circular walk around the island. The pathway winds through temples, ruins, and offers views of the river. If you are unable to walk, local boatmen offer a river-based parikrama around the island, which is highly recommended at sunset.
5. Siddhanath Temple
Located on a plateau on the island, this is an excellent example of early medieval architecture. Despite historical damage, its remaining carved pillars, elephant friezes, and massive stone plinths are worth seeing for history lovers.
6. Kajal Rani Caves
Located about 9 km from the main town, this quiet spot offers a panoramic view of the river and valleys. It is a peaceful place for meditation and sightseeing away from the main temple crowds.
